The PGA Tour returns to Akron, Ohio for the World Golf Championship Bridgestone Invitational this week. AKA – “Tiger’s Alley”. Mr. Woods has won here an astonishing 50% of the times he’s played – 8 times in 16 events, and he’s only finished out of the top-10 twice when he’s played. So – the question for me is, if Tiger wins this week, is it a sign that “he’s back” – or is it just a sign that he plays well at this course? The last time he won was one year ago right here, and he hasn’t show a whole lot since then.
I wouldn’t be surprised by anything Tiger accomplishes on the golf course, but I also wouldn’t read anything into a one week burst. I’d like to see him string together a few good finishes before calling him anything close to “back”.
